Republic vs. Democracy

It's 5am again and you are still sitting in front of your computer and chatting with some tv's while watching a bloody duel? Welcome friend :)

Republic vs. Democracy

Here is the scenario: you have republic and democracy researched, but your civ is still a republic. You have a rare chance to make a switch to democracy without any anarchy period, or stay republic forever. Which do you choose?

You probably said "democracy". Then go freaking vote blue on Nov 7th!!!

Reasons to vote Democrat:
* Many other civs have nukes and huge economies, so conquest victory is unthinkable. Our only chance of winning the game is the race to Alpha Centauri.
* On that note, under the current government, we've been stuck researching "genetic engineering" for the past 5 turns without making a single lightbulb of progress...
* Our enemies have infiltrated so deeply with their diplomats that they are bribing even our top leaders. A switch to democracy will greatly protect us from enemy diplomats like Jack Abramoff!

Citizens revolt and demand new government! Vote Democrat so we can salvage the game!!!
