If by "if you want to try" you mean create the scenario myself, I'm afraid, not this year :) I have absolutely zero experience in meddling with it :)

As for fight the AI with stones and arrows, that's the idea, isn't it? ;) Or, use some thinking, the AI should be slow enough in colonizing for the African Nations to let the colonizers at peace for a while, until they themselves gain some strength and knowledge.

Maybe rework some tech stealing mechanics?

It would be great, generally speaking, a tech-leakage based on battles.
When a battle occurs, if one of the nations don't know the tech which the attacker is using, he "learns" a little bit about that tech. But this would require, for example, to rewrite the way science goes (every single tech should have its own bulbs slot)

You don't need much ability with the editor and the continent already exists and if you would take my file the colonial powers are already placed. But let's see if everybody hasn't enough after GT10-Africa... :D

Thought this might be interest to you. The readme says it is public domain. Graphics would require some work to get to work with Freeciv though. I got it from Apolyton or CivFanatics or one of those sites like that.

Sounded interesting but I don't think I'm the right person when it comes to technical matters. :D But why don't join up for GT 10 Africa?

Apparently, complimenting users on interesting avatar choices is considered "off-topic". Therefore, I've deleted my post. Don't worry Grendel, I still think it's cool.

I'm also interested in the hex game and I don't know if I can play two games at once. (Hmmm... GT10-Africa-Hex... :P)

The game is almost full Grendel, if you join we can start the game earlier and the two games won't stand in each others way. Also the hex game will start slowlier since you start from 0 and the scenario game will be over faster than a normal game.
