Huh, I'm in.

Now let's wait for a day or two to see if it starts playing up again...

I guess there was a typo in the former email address because it's always remained unroutable.
BTW, cool it's fixed now.

Still I'd like to see a screenshot of the captcha bug if you can reproduce it.

If it happens, you'll get it, but I don't want to provoke Eris by deliberately making it happen :) Had enough chaos for the week :)

But to describe it, the page was a completely regular "enter password" with a regular red note "too many logins, use Captcha" with no "fill in: 'Cause civilization shoul be free" part.

As for the e-mail with a typo, you don't have it anymore, right? Because I'm almost certain it wasn't a typo, I think I had an autofill available when I was registering. And this mail provider occasionally has issues.

Ok, here it is. And also some clue where the problem may lie.

I have a computer at work and a computer at home. My computer at home has some issues with various web sites. It' s abit old and with XP and probably not set up the way it should so I'm used to it. My computer at work, well, works. Period. No issues, no problems with anything. Until now.

I just got to my workplace after a weekend and realised I can't log in to the forum because of "incorrect password", which I am now certain it isn't. Tried some variations and finally ended up with this:

That is definitely a problem.

Do you have a suspicious plugin in Firefox which might be hiding the captcha?
Otherwise the bug should be reported at www.phpbb.com, including all your system details and the board's version (3.0.10).

Well, what do you know. Micro$oft IE let me in.

And the worst part isn't missing Captcha, it's the inability to put in a password. Somehow, my Firefox and this forum don't like each other.

For the record, I have an old version of FF at home.

I'm glad to see that you're Microsoft Windows 8 O/S with IE10 worked great, out of the box, compared to the older version of Firefox. It's likely a plugin issue. Update Firefox and all the plugins, and you may be able to access the site with more ease.

However, in my experience Opera is a much better browser. I used to be a long time fan of Firefox for many years, but as of 3 or 4 years ago I switched to Opera and have been very happy since. I recommend you give it a try.

P.S. In terms of corporate greed and evil corporate citizenship, Apple $oft is far worse these days. But I digress.

Well I'll just lament here with regards to last post. Opera used to be awesome browser. But as they decided to go for webkit as thier engine, it becomes just another chrome skin, and they droped linux support...

I'd just try to disable all the plugins in case you have. The captcha form is basic HTML4 and ought to be compatible with any web browser, independently from sex or religion..

I used to get weird mangled pages a few years ago with some bad plugin.
