I just applied/tested a few patches to the ruleset of GT00 proposed on forum.
At the moment, the patching mechanism works upon Git. That's it: all the patches committed assume an incremental form and may "correlate" (depend) upon other patches. This implies that patches incompatible with eachother may not be applied on the same repository.
While Git can function as a kind of depot where patches to rulesets can be stored, with a small caption description along with other handy information, and eventually be applied to other/future games, a Git repo makes impossible to store incompatible patches.
I wonder if there exists some kind of tool to manage a whole stock of patches in such a practical way as Git does, but without requiring incremental commits, thus allowing incompatible patches to be stored indipendently.
