In case you didn't already know, there are nations you can play in base 2.4.2 game that are not available when registering to Greatturn matches.

Yes I do know. The nations available in GT were initially taken from Freeciv 2.3.0, in October 2012.
Can somebody provide an updated set of SVG flags conforming with the W3C specification, as I originally did?

Eventually, if someone could also provide an updated nations cache file it would be nice. This is the one currently in use by Greatturn: http://civland.org/greatturn/data/freec ... ions.cache .
It lists groups of three lines, respectively:

  • nation name: written exactly as per the Freeciv's dataset; lowercase
  • demonym: freely hand-written; no case restrictions
  • flag filename: case-sensitive
This document is loaded by the webserver and is used to generate any webpage where flags or other nation's information is displayed. Also, the nation name (first point in above list) is injected as-is into a variable inside the Freeciv server, so it must match exactly.

Now I'll wait for someone to do all the dirty work for me, while I'll chill around in the spring drinking my tequila, doing absolutely nothing as always. Which in some sense is true.
