New civscore.log program

Postby healyp » Mon Mar 08, 2010 11:05 pm

Hey everyone, I was looking for a program to make graphs out of the civscore.log file the other day and all I found was some php I didn't want to use and an ancient perl script that didn't seem to do anything. So I cooked one up myself real quick, it's still very basic- I didn't add command line switches or anything yet, but as long as you have a perl interpreter and gnuplot installed it'll do the trick. I've attached the program and a png to demonstrate.

The code can also be found at http://code.google.com/p/civscore-tools/ if you want to keep up with it or contribute. There is also a copy of my civscore.log file(too big to attach)

thanks @healyp, cool tool 8-) .

Just an info to users, -t option accepts numbers and not strings. See tags in tagExplanations.txt e.g.

-t 1 for bnp
-t 2 for mfg
-t 3 for cities

and so on...

I used the one from svn following your instruction:

svn checkout http://civscore-tools.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ civscore-tools-read-only

There doesn't seem to be any civscore.log in today's Freeciv 2.3.2. Hope to be wrong.
