Yes, that scenario was a work of art. Sadly, it was also very time consuming and I really don't see myself spending that much time again for a game that didn't last more than 30 turns. It's still a fun game to play offline, though (I recently started playing as USA against AI and it's lots of fun).
If I had the time and inclination to rework that scenario again, I would do one thing very differently: there were simply too many cities. I'm more in favor of having fewer, more productive cities than many smaller ones that overlap with one another. Especially in dense areas like The Netherlands, for example. Plus the "minor" nations should have been one single entity controlled by the AI, since I found that many players were hopelessly outgunned by major nations (of which there were only 7 or so). Definitely not a game for 20 players.
But hey, that's just my personal preference. We could debate this until the cows come home
As for this poll, I like the idea of maybe playing a WW2 scenario. It wouldn't be too hard to take the existing map, modify it slightly, and turn it into a WW2 scenario. Just a thought, might be fun to play as well.
